Kane’s latest outing takes place in what’s essentially Mount Olympus with a luxury upgrade: marble, gold, birds, gods, and glowing ruins. The sound design is just as crisp, filled with ambient tones and gentle percussion that builds with every win.

This is the standout feature for me. Pandora’s Box collects every symbol involved in a win – including the breakdown of big symbols into their smaller parts. Once there are no wins left on the board, the box explodes and repopulates the grid using the most collected symbol types first.
If multiple symbol types are tied, it picks the highest value one. The whole sequence plays out like a delayed bonus reveal, and it adds a real sense of drama. In super bonus mode, Pandora collects from the start and only releases her contents at the very end – very satisfying if you’ve built up a stash.
Split Symbols & Wild Forge
If a symbol lands with a Split marker, every matching symbol on the board is duplicated – increasing your win potential fast. This is great when it lands with big symbols, especially in combo with other boosters.

Elysian Gold surprised me. I went in thinking it’d be a slightly warmed-over sequel, but it’s a genuinely fresh take on the Gold series. The Pandora’s Box mechanic feels unique and satisfying, especially in the super bonus, and the mix of symbol splits, wild forges, and sticky free spins keeps things moving fast once you hit bonus mode.
The base game’s lower RTP (94%) is a shame, but that’s fairly common now for feature-heavy slots. The max win of 25,000x is impressive, and it feels just about achievable thanks to all the layered mechanics.
